You might not associate Buenos Aires with a post punk scene but Argentina’s Las Kellies have managed to capture all the best parts of new wave on their latest album ‘Friends & Lovers’. Formed in 2005 with borrowed equipment and a DIY attitude Las Kellies original sound has spread around the world. The band have been known to sing in Spanish, English, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Catalan and French spending several years ensuring their prominece in the Argentinian music scene. Their catchy mix of grunge, dub and post punk has earned them 8/10 in NME and 4/5 in BUZZ .
The Argentinian trio draw their influences from both sides of the atlantic but have managed to create their own new wave sound. Coming to the Harley 14/11 Las Kellies are definitely not one to miss!
