New Show – The Hold Steady at Sheffield City Hall

Having recently released their sixth record Teeth Dreams, acclaimed Brooklyn rock band The Hold Steady will play at City Hall’s Grand Ballroom on 14th October. Tickets for the show go onsale on Tuesday 27th.

Teeth Dreams marks the band’s first release in four years, and the first on their own Positive Jams imprint.

The album’s title refers to a common dream motif. Psychoanalysts often suggest that dreams about teeth are triggered by anxiety, a theme that shows up in a number of songs on the album.

Having played their first show in 2003, The Hold Steady are entering their second decade as a band. They’ve toured heavily throughout their career, and have played at least one show in all 50 states, a feat that they achieved in summer 2013 thanks to a show in Wyoming, the last state on their list. The Hold Steady has been cited as influential by numerous rock acts such as Japandroids, Titus Andronicus, Frank Turner and many others.
