We’d like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to a rather special show we have coming up this very Saturday. In association with our good friends DrownedinSound, we’re putting on Dum Dum Girls, Spectrals and Mairead on Saturday 25 September at a brand new venue: Queens Social Club, on Queens Road.
A lot of people have been asking, so here’s a little bit about the place:
- It’s a Working Men’s Club, on Queens Road in Sheffield (five minutes from the train station, ten from the town centre, fifteen from Hunters Bar – there are also buses that go near, notably the 51).
- It can hold 400-500 people, easily.
- The stage is raised, and is wide (i.e. you’ll get a good view from everywhere in the room).
- It’s a long, rectangular room with a relatively low ceiling for a space of its size… acoustics should be incredible.
If you’ve been to The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, it’s got that kind of vibe. If you haven’t, that means it’s set to be best place to see a band in Sheffield… apart from The Harley, of course
Tickets can be purchased from SeeTickets, WeGotTickets or over the bar at The Harley or The Wick at Both Ends. Do that, and you won’t pay a booking fee. Ticket holders will also be able to pop up to The Harley and catch O Children afterwards for the bargain price of £3.
